Track action (Photo by Marc Waller)Testing got underway on Friday and went very well despite being on the smaller Indy circuit rather than the GP layout the cars would be racing over the weekend.

This was a good chance for Rebecca to get a feel for the car and put in some quick laps.

To Rebecca's delight, qualifying was wet and this allowed her to show what she could do in a powerful little front-wheel drive touring car. The rain came down very heavily, which the Rain Queen thrived in. It was at this point in the weekend that Rebecca was very thankful for her DENSO hybrid wiper blades, which effortlessly cleared away the spray and allowed for some visibility. Rebecca qualified in P18 out of the 26 cars.

Rebecca had a great start in race 1 but unfortunately, a coming together with car 78 ended both of their races.

On Sunday, Rebecca was rested and raring to go for the final race of the weekend. Due to the DNF in the previous race, she had to start in P24 but after a great start she managed to start climbing the grid and finish contact-free in 18th place.

The next round takes place at Oulton Park on 19 August as part of the MINI Festival.
