Gordon Shedden has taken a surprise pole in BTCC qualifying at Snetterton after an engine change in practice had curtailed much of his running.

Adam Morgan topped the times in the second BTCC practice session at Snetterton with his best time only a tenth of a second off the qualifying lap record meaning the record may be broken later today.

Colin Turkington has taken fastest time in the first BTCC practice here at Snetterton in Norfolk.
