ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corp. (“ElectraMeccanica” or the “Company”), a designer and manufacturer of electric vehicles uniquely-designed for city and suburban motoring, delivery and commuter needs, today announced that the Company will showcase its SOLO EV for the first time in the UK and Europe at the internationally-renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS). The FoS takes place within the grounds of the ancestral Goodwood Estate in West Sussex from June 23-26th.
ElectraMeccanica is the only native electric OEM rethinking electric mobility for the way most of us really will work, live and play in the 21st century and beyond. The SOLO EV has been built with an innate understanding of consumer needs, psychology and lifestyles, designed to cater to the everyday requirements of today’s drivers and businesses. It is a compact, single-seat, three-wheel vehicle with high-tech features, ample storage, up to 80 mph of speed, up to 100 mile range, plug-and-go charging and an approachable price tag. With these features, the SOLO is perfectly designed for consumers and businesses alike in high-density areas that need efficient, cost-effective transportation. A fully enclosed vehicle, the SOLO also offers safety, weather and temperature-protection advantages over two-wheeled options such as scooters, motorcycles and bicycles.
Kevin Pavlov, CEO of ElectraMeccanica, commented: “I’m very proud to be part of the world-class Goodwood FoS event, showcasing our SOLO EV to UK and European audiences.”
Pavlov continued, “The way we know travel today is outdated. Everything, from infrastructure to fueling, parking and delivery, was built for and around the car instead of people – and as our needs, lifestyles and behaviors have changed, so too must the way we get around. At ElectraMeccanica, we’re embracing and building for that long-awaited change – and modernising mobility for what it needs to be today. I’m immensely looking forward to seeing the UK’s reaction to SOLO first-hand at Goodwood.”
The ElectraMeccanica SOLO EV will be on display at the FoS Electric Avenue and will also participate in the 1.16-mile Goodwood Hillclimb twice daily as part of the popular ‘Batch 6’ road car moving display.
