Renault Filante marks a bold new phase in the brand’s global growth. As Renault’s new flagship for design and technology, it stands at the heart of the 2027 International Game Plan, driving the brand’s expansion across key markets in Asia and the Middle East.
Based on the Aurora project, Renault Filante introduces a new design approach for the brand, blending saloon elegance with SUV presence. Sculpted body lines and a coupé-like rear profile position it as a premium alternative to conventional E-segment saloons.
Designed by Renault Technocentre in France and Renault Design Center Seoul, and developed in South Korea, Filante features a muscular stance and distinctive crossover silhouette. It measures 4,915 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, conveying presence while promising generous interior space.
The front end is defined by an illuminated three-dimensional grille inspired by the Renault diamond logo, with a visual transition from body colour to gloss black. Ultra-slim LED headlights sit flush with the bodywork, while the daytime running lights form a 28-degree angle, referencing the geometry of the Renault emblem.
In profile, a flowing roofline, chrome window surrounds and 19- or 20-inch wheels reinforce the premium character. At the rear, sculpted surfaces, a suspended spoiler and ultra-slim LED lights create a wide, athletic stance. On the Esprit Alpine version, contrasting black and white finishes add further distinction.
The interior of Renault Filante is designed as a contemporary living space, combining intuitive ergonomics, connected technology and refined materials to create a calm, premium atmosphere.
Renault Filante features a wide horizontal dashboard incorporating three 12.3-inch screens, forming the OpenR Panorama Screen, complemented by a 25.6-inch augmented-reality head-up display. This layout enhances clarity and immersion while keeping key information within the driver’s field of vision.
A new four-spoke steering wheel, intuitive controls and cleanly integrated air vents reinforce the cockpit’s modern design. Materials include recycled and grained coated textiles, selected to balance comfort, durability and reduced environmental impact.
Interior ambiences vary by trim, with distinct colour schemes and finishes for Techno, Iconic and Esprit Alpine, the latter featuring Alpine-inspired stitching, detailing and illuminated branding.
With a 2,820 mm wheelbase, Renault Filante offers generous space for all occupants. Rear passengers benefit from 320 mm of knee room and 874 mm of headroom, while the 60/40 split rear bench provides excellent support. Boot capacity is 654 litres with the seats up (including the underfloor compartment) and 2,071 litres with the seats folded.
A fixed 1.1 m² panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with light. Tri-zone climate control allows independent temperature adjustment, supported by an air purification system monitoring fine particles (PM2.5).
Developed on the CMA platform, Renault Filante features an upgraded full hybrid E-Tech 250 hp powertrain, combining strong performance with high efficiency, without the need for external charging.
The system pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque with two electric motors integrated into a DHT Pro automatic transmission, delivering a combined output of 250 hp and up to 565 Nm of torque.
Energy is supplied by a 1.64 kWh lithium-ion battery, enabling up to 75% of city driving in all-electric mode, depending on conditions. The vehicle always starts in electric mode. Fuel consumption is reduced by up to 50% compared with an equivalent non-hybrid petrol engine, with CO₂ emissions of 106 g/km.
The DHT Pro (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) combines two electric motors, a dual epicyclic gearset, a high-pressure hydraulic module and a dual clutch. Its three gears ensure smooth transitions between operating modes and seamless performance.
Chassis and suspension tuning prioritise comfort, refinement and high-speed stability, with particular attention to thermal management and vibration control. Renault Filante is targeting top results in the 2026 KNCAP safety ratings.
