Second practice was much closer with the top ten being separated by slightly more than a second.
The MG KX Momentum team headed first practice with Jason Plato leading his team mate Sam Tordoff in a one-two. Only half a second behind was Gordon Shedden in his Honda Yuasa Racing Civic.
