Dunlop remain with BTCC in new multi-year contract

BTCC car (photo by Marc Waller)Official Tyre Supplier Dunlop have today announced that they have been re-signed by the MSA British Touring Car Championship in a new multi-year contract.

 

Having been the sole-supplier since 2003, Dunlop will supply all teams on the BTCC grid with their range of rubber, including the new Sport Maxx Soft – which made their first appearance this season – along with the standard medium and hard compounds and BluResponse Wets.


Motorsport Communications and Marketing Director of Dunlop Europe James Bailey said; “The BTCC is one of the most prestigious and important championships in Europe. We are delighted to be re-appointed as Official Tyre Supplier”
BTCC boss Alan Gow also commented saying “Dunlop have been our tyre supplier since 2003 – and certainly wouldn’t still be today unless they were a responsive enthusiastic manufacturer of the highest quality race tyres.”

Dunlop have seen big achievements over the 2013 motorsport calendar, including a Mercedes AMG win at the Nurburgring and LMP2 class at the iconic Le Mans 24-hour-race for the third year in a row.   By Nikki Thompson – Photo by Marc Waller
