BTCC Silverstone – Free Practice Two

Track action (photo by Marc Waller)Following on from his performance in this morning’s first free practise session, Dave Newsham topped the time sheets ahead of qualifying at Silverstone.

In a successful outing for the Toyotas, Frank Wrathall came home in second with Adam Morgan finishing in fourth despite having held a Toyota 1-2-3 earlier in the session.

Sam Tordoff ended his session in third with FP1 leader Jason Plato in fifth. Matt Neal managed seventh, whilst championship contenders Shedden, Jordan and Turkington were only twelfth, fourteenth and nineteenth respectively.


It was a good session for Team HARD. however, with Warren Scott in the Team BMR Passat finishing sixth, two places ahead of Howard Fuller with Jack Goff coming home in ninth. Dan Welch rounded out the top ten in his Welch Motorsport Proton despite suffering from a pelvic fracture from the last round at Rockingham.
