Ecurie Eccose & Beachdean share British GT poles at Snetterton

GT4 Pole (photo by Marc Waller)Ecurie Eccose and Beachdean Motorsport took the pole positions for the two British GT races this weekend here at Snetterton.

There were two sessions of fifteen minutes each to decide the grid and in a mostly uneventful first session, Marco Attard snatched pole near the end of the session after Af Corse driver, Pasin Lathouras had been at the top of the times for much of the session. Third was taken by Jody Firth in a Trackspeed ran Porsche. Another late time saw Mark Poole take fourth in the Mp Motorsport Aston Martin. The other Trackspeed Porsche of John Minshaw was fifth with Phil Dryburgh in the Kinfaun Aston Martin in sixth. GT4 Pole went to Oz Yusuf in the Lotus Evora only three tenths ahead of Rick Parfitt jr in the Century Motorsport Ginetta G55. Third in class was Ross Wylie in the Gt4 Aston Martin. There is again a female driver in the field this weekend as Jade Edwards joins the Optimum Motorsport Ginetta G55, the car Tania Mann drove earlier this season. She took seventh in class.

This session was driven by the pro drivers in each team (Generally the quickest of the pairing) Jonathon Adam put the Beachdean Aston Martin on Pole half a second from Adam Carroll who replaced Rob Barff in Gary Eastwood’s FF corse Ferrari after a team fall out at Silverstone. Joe Osbourne put the Triple Eight run BMW Z3 in third ahead of Ecurie Eccosse’s Johnny Cocker, replacing Alexander Sims who is racing at the Nurburgring this weekend. Former BTCC star Tom Onslow-Cole put the Strata 21 Aston in fifth with Matt Bell in the United Autosport Audi R8 completing the top six.

In GT4 it was again the Issy racing Lotus, this time with Gavan Kershaw at the wheel taking the class pole. He beat Dan Cammish in the Parker Racing Porsche with the sister car, the Twisted team Parker Ginetta driven by Bradley Ellis in third. Jade and her team mate Matt Draper are in sixth for race two.
