She will be driving their championship winning Aston Martin Vantage GT4 with Ross Gunn and the duo will be attempting to defend Beachdean’s 2014 title.

Jamie, who is still only 16, arrives at the championship after two seasons in Ginetta Juniors where she took several podiums.

The team’s line-up is very young with a combined age of only 34, with Jamie being one of the youngest ever drivers in the championship. They face some of the toughest opposition ever in the championship with a high quality GT4 field which includes the all sister team of Chloe and jade Edwards in another Aston Martin.

Jamie is excited about joining the team and the championship;

“It’s brilliant to be joining the championship-winning Beechdean Aston Martin Racing team, and to be racing in British GT this year. I drove the car last year and immediately felt comfortable and we’ve worked hard since then to put together the best deal with the best people.”

She continues;

It’s going to be a challenging year ahead but I’m up for it and looking forward to doing my very best!”

Her team mate Gunn is moving from a successful season in single seaters after winning races in BRDC Formula Four last season. As with so many young drivers recently, he’s opted to head to GT racing as it offers a greater chance of making a career as a professional racing driver. Gunnn seems just as excited as Jamie;

“I am thrilled to be joining Beechdean AMR for an assault on the 2015 British GT4 title. After several years of discussions, it makes me very proud to finally be joining a team with a rapidly growing presence within the motorsport industry.”

He also thanks the team;

“I am very grateful for the faith that Andrew Howard and Beechdean AMR have shown in me for the 2015 season. I have been working very hard over the past year to move into GT racing, and this is the perfect platform for me to showcase what I can do. I am also looking forward to racing alongside another up and coming star, Jamie Chadwick.”

Beachdean Boss Andrew Howard is pleased with his signings;

“I am extremely excited with signing both Jamie and Ross for our British GT4 campaign in 2015. It’s great to see youngsters coming into sportscars and our aim is to give both drivers the platform to demonstrate their skills in British GT this year. We had a fantastic 2014 by winning the championship and our goal is to have another successful season in 2015 with Jamie and Ross.”

The team plan to undergo a test programme during march ready for the first rounds at Oulton Park over the easter weekend. By Marc Waller
