Shanel’s debut season in motorsport in 2016 hasn’t always been easy as she has tried to learn while she races with no previous motorsport experience of any kind. But her efforts haven’t gone unnoticed and in Particular her race starts where she has the best record of the 2016 season JSCC drivers of making up places; At Donington park she made up eleven places in a single lap going from twenty fifth to fourteenth.

Her ever improving pace and racing abilities saw her gain an introduction to Jade Developments. The Leicestershire based squad run several cars in the Michelin Clio series and are also a specialist in working on Renault Sport vehicles for the road.

The team first joined up with Shanel on the Croft JSCC weekend this year and Shanel immediately felt the benefits gaining more time over the race weekend than she had on previous weekends.

This has now lead to the opportunity for Shanel of being run by Jade in one of their cars in the “Road” class of the Michelin Clio Cup for the 2017 season.

Shanel’s major sponsor Dansoft Aviation services have been instrumental in helping jade Secure the drive but she would still like to find further backing to enable a full pre-season testing program to be put in place. This will give Shanel the best possible chance of starting the season at the front of the production class as she enters only her second ever season of racing. Many of her rivals have competed for many years including several years of karting and so track time is vital to enable Shanel to gain experience quickly. This will hopefully translate into strong results for Shanel over her 2017 season.

Shanel would like to thank all of her 2016 season sponsors; Dansoftas, Pro-garage, CEF, Chandler Citroen, Wrapped up Cars, Goldstar onboard and Motul for their help in getting her on track in the JSCC which has allowed her to take up this exciting opportunity to further her racing career.
