Racing for the family-run Tockwith Motorsports team, Sarah’s aim for the weekend is to grow on the great results she achieved during her debut weekend in the Ligier JSP3 at Donington Park where she secured fifth place in race one and third place in race two.

Using the famous Grand Prix layout at the Kent circuit, Ginetta Junior champion Sarah is targeting at least the same again as she continues her partnership with United Autosports co-founder Richard Dean for rounds three and four of the championship.

However, the action on the relatively short and narrow lap at Brands Hatch is always intense and Sarah will need all her driving skills to keep her rivals behind her and build on her third place in the points table.

Only two points behind second-placed Steve Tandy and Karun Chandhok in the T-Sport Ligier and 26 points behind championship leaders Colin Noble and Alasdair McCaig in the Ecurie Ecosse/Nielsen Racing entry, Sarah has her sights set on moving up the table.

She’ll be sharing the car with a known quantity in the shape of Richard Dean, the United Autosports team owner enjoying his first taste of the Ligier LMP3 and raring to go for his second experience of the Henderson Insurance Brokers LMP3 Cup.

Sarah said: “I can’t wait to get back out in the Ligier again, Donington Park was great to be able to get more time in the car and learn how to drive a car with that much aero. Now I’m looking forward to pushing on at Brands and getting two more good results.

“Racing with Richard once again is something I’m really looking forward to, we had a great partnership forming by the end of the weekend last time out and I think we work really well together.”

Race one takes place at 3.10pm on Saturday 20 May with race two taking place an hour earlier on Sunday at 2.10pm.
