The Nissan Qashqai has received face lift for the launch of the 2017 edition later this year.
Millions of previous generation models sold over the last decade, making it a flagship model for the brand. The market is ready for a high volume of sales of the already popular SUV, with many sellers taking interest pre-orders already. Intelligent Car Leasing is predicting that their Nissan Qashqai lease deals will become one of their headline offerings come autumn.
The hottest update is the ProPILOT automatic driving system. The Qashqai will be able to steer, accelerate, and break itself in single lanes. Nissan haven’t indicated if the ProPILOT system will be available on all versions. But, this futurist appeal is certainly something many drivers will make use of, and may even upgrade for.
Exterior
Everybody wants a good looking car, and the Qashqai doesn’t disappoint. The brand new V-motion grille, bumpers and a redesigned bonnet continues the standard of style Nissan has brought to the SUV market. Again the Qashqai features adaptive beam LED headlights and the rear has had a slight shape change. Two more colors have also been added for the 2017 model: Chestnut Bronze and Vivid Blue, along with seventeen, eighteen, and nineteen inch allow wheels.
Interior
The Qashqai’s new interior includes such upgrades as a new flat bottomed multifunction steering wheel, and an updated interface for the entertainment system. The Tekna+ grade includes luxuries such as a 3D effect quilted leather upholstery. If you really want to go all out, you can choose the Bose seven speaker sound system.
Technical
For those worried about rear ending and pedestrian collisions, the new breaking system includes pedestrian recognition, and automatic emergency braking. Other new features include improved suspension and steering modifications. The new Qashqai keeps the same range of petrol and diesel engines. You can choose from the entry level 1.2l petrol, 1.6l petrol, or the 1.5 and 1.6l diesels.
