The newly-crowned champions of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and Toyo Tires MSA British Rallycross Championship will headline a packed programme of demo races, prior to the traditional fireworks display.

Sutton was crowned BTCC champion after an explosive season in the UK’s premier saloon car series which saw him the only driver to claim six wins across the season. Heathcote clinched the British RX title in style with victory in the final at Croft, and followed that up with a win in the British Rallycross Grand Prix the following day.

The two will race their cars head to head on the respective tracks; Sutton taking the wheel of his Adrian Flux Subaru Levorg, while Heathcote will drive his 600bhp LD Motorsport Citroen DS3. It will be interesting to see how they get on, with Ash particularly excited to be fulfilling his rallycross ambition.

“It will be great to get out behind the wheel of a British Rallycross Championship car, especially one that has just won the championship.” said Sutton. “Rallycross is always an avenue that I’ve been interested in so I’m excited to be fulfilling an ambition. I’ve never driven a rallycross car before, so I will be turning to the BMR boss, Warren Scott, to get some pointers considering his successful debut year. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for making this happen.”

Joining the two former karters in the programme of action for MotorMania will be the MSA British Superkarts, Norasport British Supermoto, Sidecars, Supernational hot rods, Drift displays, and solo scooters as well as demo races from a mixture of drivers from the circuit racing world.
