New Volkswagen ID. Polo priced

Volkswagen ID. Polo

Volkswagen is ushering in a new, exciting chapter with the introduction of the all-new ID. Polo, which is available to order in the UK from Thursday 30 July.

The ID. Polo is a supermini hatchback, and the first car to be conceived, developed and brought to market under the combined leadership of Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer and the brand’s Head of Design, Andreas Mindt. Two limited-edition launch models will be available to order in the UK on 30 July: the ID. Polo Life Launch Edition and ID. Polo Style Launch Edition. On-the-road recommended retail prices start from £25,555 including VAT, giving early adopters the chance to order cars with enhanced specification at exceptional prices.

Series-production ID. Polo cars are due to go on sale on 10 September, still with state-of-the-art technology and class-leading features, and with prices starting from £23,945 (OTR RRP inc VAT).

All 52 kWh 211 PS variants are eligible for the Government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant.

From 30 July 2026, customers can place factory orders for the ID. Polo Life Launch Edition and Style Launch Edition with one battery size and power output (52 kWh and 211 PS). The Life Launch Edition with 37 kWh battery and 135 PS will be available from stock only.

These cars come with enhanced features including – for Life models – two-zone air conditioning, heated front seats and heated multi-function steering wheel. Additional features in the Style Launch Edition include a panoramic glass roof, massage front seats, Area View camera, Travel Assist, Park Assist Pro and rear privacy glass.

The series-production variants are scheduled to go on sale in September – without the enhanced specification but still packed with attractive features as standard and with slightly lower prices. ID. Polo Life highlights will include parking sensors, driving mode selection, rear-view camera, 12.9-inch infotainment screen, wireless phone charging with AppConnect and a height-adjustable boot floor.

ID. Polo Style standard equipment will include IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, illuminated logos and front light bar, interior ambient lighting with ID.Light, 18-inch alloy wheels, sports comfort seats in the front and ‘play’ and ‘pause’ accelerator and brake pedals.

Depending on configuration, the ID. Polo offers a WLTP combined range of up to 281 miles, with direct current (DC) quick charging of 90 or 105 kW available as standard – so topping up the battery from 10 to 80 per cent can take as little as 24 minutes. This all-round versatility makes sure the ID. Polo is equally at home on daily urban drives as it is on longer trips.
