beating Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo by just one thousandth of a second. Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Cal Crutchlow took third place followed by Lorenzo’s team-mate Valentino Rossi.
In fifth was Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso, with Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa who took sixth despite struggling for rear grip throughout the session. GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista claimed sixth place the Spaniard fought a tough battle, with riders fighting for the final spaces. Nicky Hayden followed on while British rookie Bradley Smith achieved an impressive ninth position. Taking the final spot in the top ten was LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl.
