Dragsters wowed (And deafened) the crowds doing burnouts past the house

A Funny car dragster with 8000hp was one of the loudest cars there. Ironically a car which needs no amplification is sponsored by an amplifier company!

Stuntman Terry Grant entertained the crowds all weekend in a TVR and this Legend stock car.

Bob Riggle Sparking off to retirement. One of the Goodwood favourites of the last twenty years announced his retirement on Sunday. His car, a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda named Hurst Hemi under Glass has displayed at several festivals and will be missed by everyone that’s watched it.

NGK Sponsored two time world speedway champion Greg Hancock met fans and signed autographs on Sunday.

A plane of thrill ride company Ultimate High, one of the star exhibits at the aviation exhibition part of the festival.

The amazing Vulcan Bomber brought nearly all of Goodwood to a standstill when it displayed on Saturday. Sadly it looks likely it will be grounded for good in a couple of years time.

The cricket pitch was home to a recreation of Daytona Beach used to display an incredible collection of Land Speed record cars and bikes.

The soap boxes return. Once a highlight of the festival, the soapbox competition was stopped on safety grounds but to celebrate the2oth anniversary some returned this year to do demo runs down the hill.

A legend awaits. An extremely valuable Pre War Mercedes GP racer, the W125 waits to be packed up for the journey home to the Mercedes museum at the end of another festival. By Marc Waller
