Plato set a lap record time of 1.31.214 to put his MG6 on pole, with team mate Sam Tordoff close behind.

Championship leader Andrew Jordan starts tomorrow’s first race from third ahead of Gordon Shedden and Adam Morgan who put in a last minute quick lap to snatch third from Colin Turkington.

Frank Wrathall was seventh with Rob Collard recovering well after a series of offs in his eBay Motors BMW to finish eighth, with Jake Hill – who qualified ahead of his team mate Rob Austin – and Dave Newsham rounding out the top ten.

After an already dramatic day at the circuit, Matt Neal – who decided to race this weekend despite a recently operated on broken finger – had a big off coming out of Paddock Hill Bend slamming into the barriers. The session was red flagged while marshals ensured Neal was okay before starting to recover the badly damaged Civic.

Aron Smith – who also had a big crash at Paddock earlier in the day – had too much damage to his Airwaves Focus to compete in the session, with team boss David Bartrum confirming that there’s a “50/50” chance of the car being ready to race tomorrow.

Despite having their best times removed due to exceeding track limits, both Rob Austin and Warren Scott recovered to thirteenth and eighteenth respectively at the end of the session.

Lea Wood tops the S2000 runners in nineteenth ahead of Liam Griffin and Shaun Hollamby who line up twenty-second and twenty-fourth respectively.

The final race day of the year gets underway tomorrow, with full coverage being provided on ITV4 from 10:45 and throughout the day here on Girl Racer.
