Plato had headed the times for most of the session but Tordoff pulled out his quick lap right at the end to move ahead of his team mate.

Aron Smith was next up taking fourth in his VW CC just ahead of Mat Jackson in the first of the Airwaves Ford Focus. Jack Goff was next up improving greatly from his pace in the first session leaving him second of the BMR run VW’s. Andrew Jordan returned to the top ten with seventh ahead of Marc Hynes in the triple 8 run sister team to the works squad, Quantel Bifold racing.

Shedden was only fourteenth this time just ahead of Alain Menu who had also slumped down the order. Hunter Abbott again has car trouble, this time power steering issues caused him to miss most of the session only completing seven laps.

The session was halted just before the end when Warren Scott pulled over with a puncture just after Copse only to then bizarrely reverse back down the run off towards Copse. He eventually stopped at Copse corner and the session was halted to retrieve his stricken VW. Once restarted the session last a further 3 minutes.
