Plato takes pole at silverstone to try and take the BTCC title fight to Turkington
Jason Plato has beaten championship rival Colin Turkington to pole here at Silverstone. Plato set his best lap on only his fourth lap.

Marc Marquez claimed another pole position with a time of 1’47.187 to lead team-mate Dani Pedrosa. Pramac Racings Andrea Iannone took third.
Tordoff heads an MG 1-2 in BTCC second practice
Sam Tordoff headed an MG one-two in second practice as the works team were once again quickest. Turkington was again just behind in third, just over three tenths off.
