It’s over to Jessica to describe what happened;

Race one: I had qualified fourth therefore was on the second row of the grid; As the lights went out, I got a great start which put me into second, but after battling through the first few corners and getting caught in between a group of ST’s I was in fifth place. I made a place up to fourth and was battling with Stuart Robbins until I over took him and started pulling a gap in third place. I pushed the car to the limit and broke the current lap record for Class D at Silverstone International which also meant I had the fastest lap of the race. I spent a few laps catching with the leaders, Alastair Kellet (First place) and John Cooper (Second place). There was an ST (class C car) behind second place who braked very early into a corner causing me to lift and spin which set me back from the front pack; I still held it in third place as we crossed the line which I was very happy with, as well as getting fastest lap of the race.

Podium celebrations for the winnersRace 2: I started in Third place on the grid for race two and got away from the line well but dropped down to Fourth place at the first corner. An incident with the race leader, second place, and third place happened which caused a safety car to be deployed. I was in first place behind the safety car with Stuart Robbins behind; when the safety car went into the pit lane, I got a great jump from the car behind which allowed me to get my head down and concentrate on pulling a gap to secure my first race win. I set the fastest lap of the race again and won my first ever race which was my most amazing achievement to date! I was overwhelmed and filled with excitement and happiness! Hopefully the first win of many!

I am now leading the BRSCC Class D Fiesta championship; now onto the next round at Rockingham in May!
