Coming off the back of a successful year in the Junior Saloon Car Championship, where Glanvill was the scholarship winner after a highly competitive selection process, the young racer is looking to continue her touring car development in the single-make championship which regularly boasts grids in excess of 25 entries as well as developing talent including Aiden Moffat – now a British Touring Car Championship star.

Indeed, the car Emily will be racing has seen a number of well-known drivers take it for a spin in 2016 as Renault Clio Cup maestro Max Coates, BTCC stars Moffat and Adam Morgan and GT ace Jade Edwards all drove the pink and white Mini Cooper S to good results and left their signatures in the car as a lasting mark of their laps in the car.

Emily will be looking to channel their influence in 2017 as she gets set to compete in not only the overall championship but also the always competitive Newcomers Cup and the Ladies Cup – offering even more opportunities for silverware.

Emily said: “I’m delighted to be racing a car with such history in the Celtic Speed Mini Cooper Cup in 2017. I’ve always loved a challenge and can’t wait to use all the skills I learnt in the 2016 season. With large, competitive grids and a fully televised calendar, the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup is the perfect championship for me to advance in my racing career!”
