On Wednesday 25 June, the GT cars from the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa and support races made their way from the circuit down to Spa city centre to officially kick off the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.
Thousands of fans lined the route and packed the town to immerse themselves in the spectacle.
The GT3s were joined by support race car, Supercars and other exclusive road cars such as the Ford Mustang Dark Horse R, Audi RS6, BMW M4 CS, Porsche 911 GT3, and more.
Maserati, the event’s official provider of the Leading Car and Safety Car, also presented its lineup including the stunning MCXtrema.
Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Aston Martin were also be part of the automotive celebration.
The cars lined up beneath the shade of the trees in the Parc de Sept Heures, built in the mid-18th century for spa guests staying in the town. Although some cars were still on display in Place Royale, the focal point has shifted to the park and beneath the Galerie Léopold II.
As well as seeing the cars fans also got to meet the drivers who were signing autographs and posing for photos.
At 9pm, the cars returned to circuit along the same route, again, thousands of people lined the roads and enjoyed the sights and sounds of GT3 machinery (sometimes enthusiastically driven) against a backdrop of the forest and a glorious Ardennes sunset. By Melissa Warren
