The session got underway on Thursday morning with a hint of rain in the air and the promise of more to come.
After an hour of dry running with no significant dramas the rain began in earnest and within four minutes the pit lane was buzzing with activity with eight cars of the 75 left on track.
Most teams elected to take some time making changes and minimal wet running followed.
At the end of the session the #9 Pro Cup Boutsen VDS (Mercedes AMG) driven by Mikael Grenier topped the timings with 2:17.134 lap set on lap eight early in the session.
The #58 Gold Cup Garage 59 (McLaren) driven by Louis Prette and the #12 Bronze Cup Rinaldi Racing (Ferrari) Fernandez Felipe Laser complete the top 3 overall.
The ProAM Cup field was topped by the #71 AF Corse (Ferrari) of Stephane Lemeret, whilst the Silver Cup was led by the #99 Tresor Attempto Racing (Audi) of Philippe Denes.
Fortunately an incident involving car #50 of Nicki Thiim & car #7 of Arthur Leclerc required no further action.
