Cal Crutchlow has signed a two-year deal to join the factory Ducati team, after a fantastic year so far with the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team he will again be partnered with old team-mate Andrea Dovizioso.
Crutchlow will replace Nicky Hayden who won the MotoGP World title in 2006.
It was later announced that taking Crutchlow’s place will be Spain’s Pol Espargaro, he will be stepping-up to the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team for 2014 on a two-year contract. Pol will be joining older brother Aleix who is already competing in the premier class with the Power Electronic Aspar team.
Scott Redding also made an announcement on Thursday whilst at the BT Sport launch night that he will be moving up to the premier class next year but has yet to announce the team he will be joining. By Laura Turner
