Current MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez led from start to finish at the Red Bull Grand prix of the Americas with team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso, Taking second and third respectively.
LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl just missed out on a podium but managed to hold off Bradley Smith’s Tech3 Yamaha for fourth place. Whilst team-mate and rookie Pol Espargaro claimed sixth for the Monster Tech3 Yamaha team.
Pramac racings Andrea Iannone took seventh with Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi in eighth. Aleix Espargaro took ninth place on his NGM Forward racing machine.
Jorge Lorenzo’s jump start resulted in the Spaniard having to do a ride-through penalty eventually finishing the race in tenth place. By Laura Turner
