Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso claimed the first pole position of the 2015 campaign in Qatar
ahead of the two Honda’s of Dani Pedroa and current MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez.
Dovizioso’s team-mate Andrea Iannone qualified fourth with Pramac Racings Yonny Hernandez in fifth. Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo set the sixth fastest time with Tech3 Yamaha’s Bradley smith following on. Lorenzo’s factory team-mate Valentino Rossi was a place back in eighth. Pramac Ducati rider Danilo Petrucci and Pol Espargaro rounded out the top ten. By Laura Turner
