Shedden was much more competitive this session taking third place less than two tenths of a second off Plato’s time.

Andy Priaulx was again competitive in fourth, just over two tenths off Plato’s time. The two MGs were next up Jack Goff ahead of team mate Jordan by a tenth of a second.

Tom Ingram had a better session and took seventh in his Speedworks Toyota. Mat Jackson was in eighth place, relatively low for the Focus which has been so quick in recent rounds. He was ahead of Matt Neal though in the second Yuasa Honda Civic Type R.

He’ll want to get good results on his racing return but his priority is to help his team mates try to win the championship. Dave Newsham was eleventh in the Power Maxed Racing Chevrolet, once again beating team mate Josh Cook who is testing the new uprated 2016 NGTC parts. He was seventeenth.

Aron Smith was twelfth, unsually the lowest placed BMR driver. AMD Tuning’s Mike Bushell had a strong session on his favourite circuit to take thirteenth, a good result for him. The local driver will have lots of supporters here on Sunday and so a good result would be very welcome. New team mate, Jake Hill could only manage twenty fourth after some car problems.

Rob Collard was fourteenth way behind team mate Priaulx with Adam Morgan completing the top fifteen, dropping down the order from his earlier fastest time.
