Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa claimed an impressive pole position with a time of 1.40’893 to take the pole record for qualifying in the top spot at the Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya.
Marco Andretti, who currently lies second in the IndyCar championship behind Helio Castroneves, secured pole position Friday in Milwaukee thereby trimming the Brazilian’s points lead by one point.
Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi set the fastest time in today’s free practice session at the Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya with a time of 1.42’297, ahead of team-mate Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa.
