Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez claimed an astounding pole position at the San Marino GP, he also smashed the pole position lap record which had been held by Casey Stoner since 2011.
Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo will start from second place with team-mate Valentino Rossi in third.
Repsol’s Dani Pedrosa will lead the second row, having led Q1 Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider Cal Crutchlow claimed fifth in Q2. Power Electronic Aspar’s Aleix Espargaro put in another good qualifying in sixth. LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl will start from seventh ahead of GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista.
