Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez claimed his 8th victory of the season in difficult weather conditions, the Spaniard’s dominance of the 2014 season continued at the only Saturday race of the MotoGP calendar.
To lead second place man Andrea Dovizioso on his Ducati. Marquez’s team-mate Dani Pedrosa took third place.
Pole sitter Aleix Espargaro took fourth, with the Italian Valentine Rossi not far behind, the former World Champion had to start the race from pit-lane due to a tyre choice.
Fellow Italian rider Andrea Iannone claimed sixth place. Seventh place went to Tech3 Yamaha rider Bradley smith, Ducati’s Cal Crutchlow put in a good result in ninth and the German Stefan Bradl claimed tenth on his LCR Honda machine.
