Marquez takes MotoGP win in Germany

Marc MarquezWith the race start disrupted by rain and having started from pit lane, Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez continued his dominant form as he took his ninth win of the season at the Sachsenring circuit in Germany.

Team-mate Dani Pedrosa crossed the finish line in second with Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo in third. 

Taking fourth, yamaha’s Valentino Rossi with Pramac Racings Andrea Iannone just behind. The Espargaro brothers claimed sixth and seventh place with older brother Aleix taking the higher position on his NGM Forward Racing machine. Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso and GO&FUN Honda Gresini rider Alvaro Bautista took eighth and ninth respectively. It was a good result for Ducati’s Cal Crutchlow in tenth.

It was an unfortunate race for home favourite Stefan Bradl, the German’s bike set-up played a role in is eventual 16th place finish.
