Marquez takes MotoGP pole and record in Germany

Marc Marquez (photo by MotoGP)Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez stormed to fantastic pole position at the Sachsenring circuit in Germany,

with a time of 1’20.37 smashing Casey Stoner’s previous lap record at the circuit which the retired Australian rider made in 2008.
Team-mate Dani Pedrosa took second place while third was taken by home favourite Stefan Bradl on his LCR Honda machine.
In fourth NGM Forward Racings Aleix Espargaro with the factory Yamaha team of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi completing the line up of the second row.
Italy’s Andrea Iannone leads the third row on his Pramac Ducati. Monster Tech3 rookie Pol Espargaro took eighth with team mate Bradley smith just behind. Go&Fun Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista will start from tenth.  By Laura Turner
