Repsol Honda star Marc Marquez claimed his tenth pole position of the season so far as qualifing got underway at the Hertz British Grand Prix in Silverstone.
Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso and Yamaha’s Jorge completed the first row.
An impressive Aleix Espargaro will lead the second row on his forward Racing machine, With Repsol’s Dani Pedrosa and Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi just behind.
Taking eighth and ninth respectively was the Tech3 Yamaha team of Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro. Having escaped injury in an earlier crash LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl did well to take ninth, while Pramac Racings Andrea Iannone will start from tenth place on the grid. By Laura Turner
