Ducati’s Andrea Dovizoso went quickest in rain hit San Marino free practice with a time of 1.449’195 to lead Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez.
IodaRacing Team’s Danilo Petrucci took fourth with Pol Espargaro on his Tech3 Yamaha machine in fifth. Taking seventh place was LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl. The top ten was made up of Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo, Pramac’s Andrea Iannone and Valentino Rossi on his Yamaha machine. By Laura Turner
