Marc Marquez dominates MotoGP Sepang testing

Marc Marquez (photo by MotoGP)Current MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez ended the MotoGP Sepang test on a high after dominating the last two days under the searing Malaysian heat.

Marquez is looking again hot favourite to take the 2015 title, after throwing down the gauntlet during today’s session, But there is a challenge from Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo who’s vigorous off season training program looks to have paid off as the Spaniard took an impressive second, Having been able to test Yamaha’s new gear box.

CWM LCR Honda’s new signing Cal Crutchlow set an impressive time of 1’59 658. During race simulation the Briton was able to consistently lap less than 2’01. He will be hoping for a better year than last, aiming for his first MotoGP victory.

Ducati’s Andrea Iannone took 4th place with Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi in fifth, the Italian will be hoping for more next time out at the Qatar test before the season gets underway in March.

Tech3 Yamaha’s Bradley smith was sixth quickest overall while elsewhere Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa was unable to have the same luck during today’s testing as team-mate Marquez but will be hoping to get the better of his compatriot this year and be top Honda rider. Top open class rider Hector Barbera was able to put in a good show in eighth. While Aleix Espargaro and Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso completed the top ten. The next test will be at Qatar.
