Seventh MotoGP pole position for Marquez in Aragon

Marc Marquez (photo by MotoGP)Marc Marquez set another blistering qualifying performance to take his seventh MotoGP pole position so far this year, to beat fellow Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo by one hundredth of a second at the Gran Premio Iveco de Aragon.

Taking third place on the starting grid was Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa. 

Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi took fourth with LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl just behind in fifth. GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista claimed sixth, while Cal Crutchlow took seventh on his Tech3 Yamaha.

it was good outing for Monster Yamaha tech3 rookie Bradley Smith who moved up from Q1 to eighth place in Q2. Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso set the ninth quickest time with CRT Power Electronic Aspar’s Aleix Espargaro completing the top ten.
