World Champion Marc Marquez will start from pole position for the Tissot Australian Grand Prix at the Phillip Island circuit. With Ducati’s Cal Crutchlow in second and Yamaha Jorge Lorenzo in third.
Leading the second row is Tech3’s Bradley Smith, Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa claimed fifth with fellow Spaniard Aleix Espargaro completing the third row.
Pramac Racings Andrea Iannone will head row three with Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi and Tech3’s Pol Espargaro just behind. Andrea Dovizioso completed the top ten on his Ducati. By Laura Turner
